Umami Innovation Awards

Friselva sponsored the Umami Innovation Awards, organised in partnership with food industry innovation Centre FoodLab.


The First Professional Gastronomy Competition was established with the twofold aim of discovering new gastronomic products and also showcasing the world of cuisine and culinary culture in Catalonia, and specifically the district of La Selva in Girona province. The event was open to all catering and gastronomy professionals in Catalonia. The jury took into consideration Innovation, the Origin of the produce and the Creativity of the recipes submitted in choosing the winners.

The products selected by Friselva for the competition were its Sirloin, Hock and Pig Face.
